Privacy
Last updated 2026-10-19. SNOVO is in pre-release. This page describes how the app is designed to work.
What SNOVO collects
- Waitlist: your email address and, if you give it, your home resort.
- Account: name, tag, code, profile photo, home resort and discipline. Your year of birth is used to apply the under-16 rules.
- Days: GPS and altitude samples, speed, and the runs and lifts found in them, plus photos and captions you add.
- Fits: the gear you choose for each slot and the photos you add of it.
- Health data: if you allow it, ski and snowboard workouts and their routes from Apple Health or Health Connect.
Who can see it
- Public by default for adults: your profile, your current fit, your day stats and your daily bests. This lets a person find you by code on a chairlift before they follow you.
- Followers only: the map track of a day. SNOVO trims the first and last 300 m of a track that starts or ends outside a resort, so a home address does not show.
- Private: your original photos, and any gear item you mark hidden. Others see only a count of hidden items.
- Under 16: everything is followers only, and the account cannot be found by code. People under 13 cannot create an account.
- Web pages: a public page at snovo.app exists only if you turned it on. It is on by default for adults and off for people under 16. It never shows a map track and never shows prices.
What SNOVO does not do
- It does not sell your data.
- It does not show a public heatmap of where people ski.
- It does not read from Strava.
Lookups and logs
Code and tag lookups are rate limited and logged, so SNOVO can find bulk scraping. Web pages limit each IP address to 60 requests per minute.
Delete your data
Delete your account in the app, or use the email path on the delete account page. Deletion is final after 7 days. To leave the waitlist, email support@snovo.app from the address you signed up with.
